Sources for Transcripts of Earnings Calls
Finding transcripts from corporate earnings calls can sometimes be a challenge. Here are a number of ways to successfully locate them:
- Go the official COMPANY WEBSITE and navigate to their INVESTOR RELATIONS PAGE. Earnings transcripts will be labeled differently from company to company; common places they may be found are under webcasts and presentations, quarterly presentations, and/or news and events. If you are unable to find them, try a search of the website using the term "earnings."
- The website SeekingAlpha.com has a tab entitled "Transcripts." Search by company name or ticker symbol to find earnings transcripts. You can also search transcripts by word or expression, as well as look at transcripts by industry sector. This site is a good source for recent transcripts.
- The database Factiva is another source for transcripts. On the main search page, expand the "Subject" tab and in the "search for subject" box type transcript. Click on the word transcript (it will turn pink and be listed above) to limit your search results to transcripts only. In the free text box, you will then enter the name of the company that you are researching and run your search.
